Stains

Stains are high-quality multifunctional products designed for use on wood. Their use allows not only to highlight the decorative effect of this natural material, but also to adequately protect it, thus prolonging its durability. First of all, stains provide effective protection against the negative impact of various external factors. As a manufacturer of wood stains, we offer different types and colour variants, as well as packaging with both smaller and larger capacities.

Michor - stain manufacturer. How do our products work?

Stains can be used on various types of wood, as well as on wood-based materials. In a way, staining can be compared to painting, but the end result will be very different. Stains do not cover e.g. grains visible on wood and naturally occurring grooves or other structures. They therefore allow the depth of colour to come through and emphasise existing qualities. However, staining can do much more. It is used not only for aesthetic purposes, but also to protect the wood against external factors and the passage of time. Old, worn-out furniture, for example, can also be renovated in this way. As a manufacturer of high quality wood stains, we offer a wide range of products suitable for various types of wood products

Solvent stains - when is it recommended to use them?

Solvent stains give an exceptionally strong colour compared to other preparations of this type, perfectly emphasizing the grain outline. They are distinguished by a very fast drying time and resistance to solar radiation. They are also great for levelling out differences between shades of a given product. These stains are most often used to impregnate the preservation of furniture intended for indoor use, made of oak, maple or ash. These products are also great for painting floors, window sills, countertops and interior doors. As a manufacturer of stain and other products for the interior design and building construction industry, we have a wide range of colours and guarantee long-term durability.
Nitro stains give an exceptionally strong colour compared to other preparations of this type, perfectly emphasizing the grain outline. They are distinguished by a longer drying time and resistance to solar radiation. They are also great for levelling out differences between shades of a given product. These stains are most often used to impregnate decorations and to maintain furniture intended for indoor use, made of oak, ash, pine or spruce. These products are also great for painting floors, window sills, countertops and interior doors. As a manufacturer of stain and other products for the interior design and building construction industry, we have a wide range of colours and guarantee long-term durability

Spirit stains - what distinguishes them?

Spirit stains, similarly to solvent stains, allow you to achieve a very expressive colour effect, without covering the natural grooves in the wood. However, they require some experience in working with this type of natural raw material, because they dry even faster, and the wrong way of application can lead to the formation of unsightly streaks. Spirit stains are also distinguished by the fact that they can be used not only on all surfaces made of natural raw material, which is wood, but also perfectly adhere to elements such as veneer, plywood or chipboard. This type of stain will also cope well with outdoor conditions, so you can safely use it to impregnate and preserve e.g. garden furniture. As a stain manufacturer, we offer these high-quality products. They can be purchased in packages of different capacities.

Water stains – where are they used?

Water stains do not contain solvents in their composition and are therefore considered to be the most environmentally friendly type of impregnation. They give a subtle colour, so they are most often used to emphasize the natural colour of the wood and bring out its depth. They are most commonly used for soaking (chairs and small items such as furniture legs), as well as for spraying. Before starting staining, it is advisable to clean the surface or even slightly sand it, so that the stain can be evenly distributed and properly soaked. The water-based version has a slightly longer drying time compared to other products of this type, so it is possible to apply small corrections on a given surface. As a manufacturer of building materials, including various types of stains, we guarantee their high quality, which has a direct impact on the durability of the protected surfaces and aesthetic decorative effect.

Impregnates - externally produced water preparations based on acrylic resins, therefore they are considered the most environmentally friendly type of impregnate. They give a subtle colour, creating a coating depending on the needs of the customer. Impregnations provide the necessary protection against fungi that discolour and destroy wood and, if necessary, also against the invasion of insects and termites. They are characterized by a high ability to penetrate raw wood, providing it with long-term biological protection. Reduces the absorbency of wood, thus reducing the consumption of surface products.
